The FIFA soccer World Cup is an international event, with an anticipated 5 billion people worldwide tuning in to watch the final game, slated for July 19, 2026. As interest in this international sport continues to build here in the United States, believers can engage with lost people through a shared enjoyment of the games.
CMBA and Lexington Baptist Association are partnering to host an informational lunch on March 5 to introduce Victory Beyond the Cup, an evangelism opportunity centered around viewing of the World Cup final, as well as the other series of games held in the weeks leading up to it. A ministry representative will present ways that individuals and churches can engage through a soccer-related evangelism tool kit.
The informational lunch will be on Thursday, March 5, at 11:30am in the Lexington Baptist Association building, located at 255 Two Notch Road in Lexington. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required to participate in the free lunch.
