The First Steps Fund
The First Steps Fund is a resource created by the Lexington Baptist Association to help churches take their first steps toward new mission partnerships. This fund is designed to eliminate financial barriers and make it possible for LBA churches to intentionally pursue gospel work in “hard, dark places”—areas and people groups with little or no access to the gospel.
Through the First Steps Fund, LBA churches may request up to $2,000 per year to explore potential mission partnerships, such as connecting with a church plant in a North American Send City or developing relationships with international missionaries serving unreached people groups.
This fund is not intended to support ongoing or pre-existing mission efforts, but to help churches begin new partnerships that can grow into long-term commitments. Together, we can do more to advance the gospel than we could alone.
